How to find a great cofounder

Based on the answers you gave, here's some personalised advice on how to find a great non-technical cofounder. There are three parts to the advice:

  1. A "cofounder wanted" template for you to adapt and share online
  2. A list of places to share your post and search for a cofounder
  3. Some more detailed, personalised advice on how best to present and prepare yourself, so that great non-technical founders want to contact you

Of course, there's a lot more to building a successful cofounder relationship than just getting great non-technical people to reach out and want to partner with you. But this advice should get you over the first hurdle pretty well.

Your template

Here's your personalised template to adapt and share online. Try to be friendly but to the point with your language. Remember that people reading your post probably know nothing about you, your project, or the market. So make it really easy for them to understand and get excited by the potential!

Where to find a cofounder

Now you have a post worth sharing. But where to share it?

Here's a crowdsourced list of places to search for a cofounder online. My favourite is Indie Hackers.

Also, don't forget to ask your friends/colleagues to share your post with interesting third parties. And make sure to extend your search to meetups/online communities where people interested in your business/tech vertical hang out.
